We are attracting unprecedented interest in new development. Growth brings opportunity, but it also brings responsibility. Every new subdivision, business and home affects our roads, fire protection, waste management, recreation, municipal services and our environment.
At the same time, many residents are struggling with rising costs. Families, seniors and young people deserve a municipal government that respects every tax dollar.
I am running for Mayor because I believe Greater Madawaska needs experienced, thoughtful leadership that balances growth with careful financial management.
I am not aligned with developers or special interest groups. My commitment is to all residents of our Township.

Development should strengthen our Township, not create financial pressures that taxpayers pay for later.
Greater Madawaska is being noticed. That is a good problem to have, however, it has to be properly managed. For example, a subdivision approved without a plan for the road that serves it does not stop being a cost; it simply becomes next council's cost, and then the taxpayer's.
As Mayor I will make sure every growth decision is weighed against what it asks of the Township afterward. Not to slow good development down, but to make sure it pays its own way and leaves us stronger than it found us.
